I'm having trouble using multiple Watchport cameras with CamPanelDetailed Question:I have trackerCam installed on computer W. I no longer had TrackerPod installed on this computer. I use 3 Com Home Connect with Watchport XP driver. This worked fine with CamPanel on Computer H. I now add another 3 Com Home Connect and install Watchport XP driver but the TrackerCam software did not recognize it. It is in my device mgr under USB, looks the same as the first 3 Com Home Connect. Next I decided to add a TrackerPod to see if that helped. That worked but still not the camera. At first I lost all video, but now I get the original 3 Com Home Connect video. Answer:You need to run the multicam driver installation from the Watchport CD. You also need to perform the following steps to configure CamPanel to use the multiple Watchport cameras:
(a) If you have the "Inside Out NETWORKS" CD entitled "Installation and Software Drivers for the Watchport/V USB Camera" (substitute your computer's CD-ROM drive letter for drive letter D below)
1. Make sure that the cameras are not plugged into the computer.
2. Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3. Run D:\MultiCam\MultiCam.exe (You may be asked to uninstall the old drivers from your system)
4. After the installation, restart the computer.
5. Plug in your "3Com HomeConnect" cameras. Windows will enumerate the cameras and install the drivers automatically.
6. Run Start / Programs / MultiCAM Utilities / MultiCAM Wizard to automatically identify and name the cameras. Close MultiCAM.
7. CamPanel now can use multiple "3Com HomeConnect" cameras.
(b) If you do not have the "Inside Out NETWORKS" CD entitled "Installation and Software Drivers for the Watchport/V USB Camera"
1. Make sure that the cameras are not plugged into the computer.
2. Open your Web Browser to download "3Com HomeConnect" multiple camera driver from this URL
http://www.vistaimaging.com/ViCAM7117.exe
and save it to your desktop.
3. Run ViCAM7117.exe (You may be asked to uninstall the old drivers from system)
