Does the PowerPod work with the Sony DCR-TRV340?

I am interested in purchasing one of your power pods for my digital 8 sony camcorder. I have #2 questions. #1 will this work for my camcorder. I have a digital 8 sony DCR-TRV340 NTSC??? which on the side it does have the LANC input. I just want to verify that my model is the supported weight and is right for the software for your powerpod. #2 does your power pod come with the IR remote or is that extra? or a different unit entirely!?

Yes, your camcorder is compatible with the PowerPod. The DCR-TRV320 actually does have a LANC port on it, you just might have to lift up a rubber flap somewhere on the camera to see it. So, you should make sure to get the PowerPod-LANC in order to take advantage of the LANC port for optical zoom control.

The PowerPod-IR is a separate product and is controlled by a hand-held remote instead of a computer. You need to choose between the two options, control by computer or control by hand-held remote, before you buy. We do not currently offer a product that combines the two.
