Does my Laptop need an external power supply to use your hardware?

Detailed Question:

Reguarding the PowerPod, - can i buy an external power supply for it, from your website if not where can i buy a suitable one?

Answer:

An external power supply is needed only  for SOME models of laptops. If your TrackerPod or PowerPod needed one, a window would open on your computer's monitor, giving you the link to purchase. This would happen when you plugged the pod into the computer and only if your computer needed one. Otherwise the pod is powered by the the computers USB port.

USP protocols are supposed to be standard but unfortunately some manufacturers modify this.
