Answer:

The pan tilt angles are accurate to about one degree. However, you can manually over-ride them. The mechanism has a clutch built in that allows you to manually change the pan and tilt. The clutch is designed to protect the inner mechanism of the unit. The range for the TrackerPods is between +/- 80 degrees pan and +/- 55 degrees tilt.
