Do you have software that will let me use 12 webcams?Detailed Question:I'm looking for a piece of software that will support multiple USB webcams, and CamPanel appears to be what I am looking for. However, you state that it will support more than 4 cameras, but do not give any maximum. Would it be possible to have 12 identical cameras on the system, all running motion capture and datestamping any activity? All the cameras will be attached directly to one machine via USB. Answer:Yes, that's possible. The practical top limit on the number of cameras depends on your computer's hardware. If you have a fast processor and a lot of memory, you'll be fine. Please note, though, in case you didn't see it on the specs, that using multiple USB webcams of the same brand can be a problem. Windows thinks they're the same camera and gets confused. Look at the Requirements section of the Campanel page--www.trackercam.com/campanel--for details and a list of cameras that do work when more than one is connected to the same PC.
