Can you tell me more about the features of the PowerPod-LANC?

Detailed Question:

We are looking for a motion detection/tracking motorized tripod-mount solution for our existing equipment. Many of the features of your PowerPod-LANC seem to match what we are aiming for, however I don't think it is compatable with the majority of our current equipment. Your site didn't quite provide enough information on some of the features. For example - how is motion detected/tracked? Does it require the LANC connector to utilize the feature? Essentially what we are looking for is a mount that will fit a universal tripod, detects motion and will force the camera (or mounted utility such as EMF Detector, Directional Thermometer, Camcorder, etc)to turn to face and follow the area of movement. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We'd need several of these units. Thank you!

There is a standard tripod mount on the bottom (for a tripod) and the top (for mounting the PowerPod) of the PowerPod.

>>Does it require the LANC connector to utilize the feature? Tracking does not require the LANC connector. The LANC connector is for optical zoom and focus from the software.
