Is there an API for custom programming?

I have some questions about the LANC trackerpod. Is there any API that comes with the camera for controlling the servo's? Also, how much control do I have over the lanc port. I would like to send commands to navigate the menu's on the camera. Can I send any lanc command through the cable or am I just limited to zoom functions?

As for LANC, you are limited to commands for controlling zoom, focus, and record start and stop. There is no way to send custom LANC commands.
